THE YORK College baseball team earned their first regular season win over a nationally ranked opponent this season, coming from behind to beat No. 18 Rowan University on Tuesday by a 5-4 score.

They won in the bottom of the ninth when, with one out and the bases loaded, Michael Tinneny walked to score Garrett Kile. Andrew Santarpia then won the game when he got hit by a 1-2 pitch to score Robby Elzinga with the winning run.

A.J. Vincenzi (2-1) earned the win, according to the York College website, breaking a four-game losing streak against the Profs.

Elzinga paced the offense with two hits, a run scored and two RBIs. Santarpia and Lucas Prendergast added two hits apiece in the game at Jaquet Field.

The second-place Spartans will play an important MAC Commonwealth game on Friday afternoon as they host first-place Lebanon Valley College. It will start at 3:30 p.m.

Below are some photos taken during the game.
