YCP men’s wrestling rides bonus points to victory on road at Messiah: photos

The York College men’s wrestling team claimed five victories, all with bonus points, in a 26-19 road win over Messiah on Friday night.
After taking a 10-6 lead through four bouts, the Spartans notched three straight wins to clinch their first victory over their intra-county rivals since 2019. Dawson Miller sealed the win with an 18-0 triumph over Asa Brunk at 141 pounds, which put the Spartans up 26-6 with three bouts to go, according to the York College website.
Overall, Jared Kuhns improved his team-leading overall season record to 31-5 and is 11-1 in dual matches while Camden Farrow increased his overall record to 27-5 on the season and owns a dual record of 9-3.
The Spartans (5-8 overall) will return to the mat next Friday night, Feb. 10, in their last home dual of the season against No. 25 Alvernia.
