THE York College men’s wrestling team opened their dual schedule Wednesday with a 31-12 loss to TCNJ in front of a spirited home crowd inside M&T Bank Field House.

TCNJ improved to 2-0.

Here are a couple of highlights from the York College wrestling page:

* The Spartans had some early momentum as a pair of their top wrestlers claimed victories in two of the first three bouts to give the Green and White a 9-3 edge.

* Twelfth-ranked Jared Kuhns had the building rocking following a first-period fall over #9 Ryan Rosenthal at 125 pounds after just 2:42 of wrestling.

* The turning point of the dual came when #10 Quinn Haddad pinned Devon O’Dell in the 184-pound bout to give the Lions a commanding 10-point advantage with two matches to go. Unranked Joe Daddario then sealed the win for TCNJ with a big 3-1 overtime upset win over #3 Camden Farrow at 197.

The Spartans return to the mats December 2-3 at their own New Standard Invitational back inside M&T Bank Field House.
