Question: What is your reaction to the new mask guidelines on campus, which eliminate the need for them in the hallways and indoor common areas but require them for the classroom and for labs?
“I had been waiting for that email for a long time. It feels especially good because I remember at the beginning of the semester the numbers were rising and I did not feel optimistic about having a regular semester at all.”
Hunter Wolfe, freshman

“ I have been keeping up with the pandemic for a while and I thought this move was done at the right time by the college. Hopefully all the students keep up with the new mandate so we can move on from masks entirely.”
Benjamin Dorsey, freshman

“ Although I am not a fan of masks in the classroom, it is very nice to be able to have a sense of normalcy again. I really like not having to wear it in the gym.
Zach Brida, junior

“I got a lot of hope back that I can finally have a full school year soon where I’m not reminded of COVID as much every day.”
Miles Brown, junior

“I can understand how many no longer want to wear them as we have been wearing them for 2 years now. I just know for me personally, that I will continue to wear mine. It has nothing to do with being vaccinated or not, I just have come to have an added level of comfort when I wear my mask, so now it is more of a I feel like my mask is associated with me being comfortable/safe in public settings.”
Breanna Hoffner, senior
